PRINT | proposal cards and address printing

I had so much fun with these. Weddings can be so formal sometimes.  I love a change of pace especially when something very very girly comes my way.  Proposal cards are such a fun way to ask your girlfriends to be apart of your special day.  A handwritten notecard is so much more personal than a phone call (or my goodness, a text!)  If you can't get together with your girlfriends over a bottle of wine and share the news then this is the way to go!

I also love digital envelope address printing. Check out more details for return address printing in my shop and I'm open for (small) orders of guest address printing too.

{wedding} for simple elegance and a whole lot of Texas country // coral and teal // invitations, programs, and reception decor

I'm so thrilled to finally be posting these pictures.  Elizabeth was kind enough to ask me to design her wedding invitations and some of the reception decor for her wedding (check out the paper straw flags below).  Did you see her save the date magnets?  I just loved working with this gal.

This couple is so lovely I can hardly stand it.  Thank you again Elizabeth for letting me be apart of your day!

{stationery} simply chic and charmingly sweet paperie // custom wedding thank you

I met Kara a few weeks ago on Etsy and I finished a custom template save the date for her.  She is a bride on a budget and decided to do her own printing.  It is always great to receive an email like this,

Thanks! They turned out great!! I love them!
We decided to do some custom wedding thank yous. If you've been a bride you know how many thank yous you write!  All those bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and the very very long list of gifts after the wedding.  You might as well hire an extra hand to help you write!

{wedding invitation} Navy Blue, Twine, Mason Jars, and Austin, Texas // Dan + Emily

Emily and I finally got all of our invitations sent out for their destination wedding in Austin, Texas.  I am fairly certain she put more work into these than I did.  Designing and printing is only 25% of the work.  Cutting, addressing, stamping, and mailing is the other 75%.  I love the finished product though.  Its very Emily.  Its tastefully minimalistic but very country chic.  Emily went with a pocket fold style but to save costs she decided on a panel pocket.  One side housed the invitation and the other side we stuffed with the enclosure cards.

The countdown has officially started for this bridesmaid.  I am really looking forward to getting out of Alberta for a weekend, float the river in Austin and break out my cowboy boots.

Please check out Emily and Dan's Save the Date photo magnets.  And for all other designs visit my shop!

{wedding invitations} coral, teal, and a little bit of Texas

I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting Elizabeth and working with her.  She is a girl that knows exactly what she wants and it just so happens that I love all the ideas she has thrown at me.  As a Texas girl she wanted something fun, modern, and a little bit Texas.  She wanted something unique so we decided on a large square invitation with a simple band.  All of her insert cards are double sided printed and we included a custom band to keep everything in its place. To see more detail please visit my shop.

{save the date} for Emily and Dan's wedding

I am a huge fan of the save the date photo magnet.  It is alittle more expensive than regular cardstock but it "guest friendly".  Which means its basically for the guest that always forgets everything.  They don't have to find a place to put this important reminder.  They won't shove it into a drawer and forget.  They won't spill anything on it and ruin it.  Its "BAM" right in front of them on the refrigerator.  Because we all know they didn't write it down on their calendar!

It is always so much fun to work with a bride and actually KNOW the bride.  It is an added bonus when you are INVITED to the wedding.  It is extra special if you are a BRIDESMAID!  I'm so pleased with how these photo magnets turned out.  Emily was too and she said she has gotten so many compliments on them!  I am always excited when the work pays off and am so happy to share in their excitement.

weddings, weddings, and more weddings

yes, its that time of year again.  wedding season hasn't exactly started yet but the invitations are being sent out!  so this little lady is very very busy helping a few wonderful brides out with their paper goods.

meet my good friend emily and her fiance dan.  love these two.  i'm excited to say that i'll be partaking in their wedding come july as a bridesmaid (yes, motivation to lose that last 5 lbs in baby weight).  and it'll be in austin which i'm super excited for.

stay tuned.  emily is super crafty and we are both rolling up our sleeves a bit to do the finishing touches on these invitations.

Mega-Moons

Sri Lanka? Check. Patagonia? Check. All in one trip? Check. That’s right, for 2012, brides won’t be settling on just one dream destination, but instead, they’ll be opting for a round-the-world getaway to several far-flung locales. Plus, they’ll be virtually bringing their friends with them via social travel apps that crowd-source friend-approved recommendations from resources like Tripl and Gogobot

Long Sleeves & Lace

Brides can thank Kate Middleton and the latest Twilight installment for this wedding fashion trend – long sleeves and lace! Strapless dresses will still rule the bridal aisle, but expect more coverage for 2012 with a sexy twist. Think: sheer backs and illusion sleeves. And don’t be surprised if the look of lace pops up on everything from the wedding cake to the décor.

When Harry Met Sally-Inspired Video Trailers

When it comes to wedding vidoes, it’s not something brides are watching after the wedding anymore. Couples are filming their love stories à la When Harry Met Sally and then showing snippets of it in video e-save-the-dates and having it screened at the wedding…all while guests are being filmed watching it, of course.

Ritzy Ranch Weddings

The setting? A 200-year-old barn complete with long exposed-wood tables, large chandeliers and ambient lighting. The flowers? Lace-wrapped bouquets of wild roses, lilies of the valley, Queen Anne’s lace and gardenias. The food? Delicate wild game like juniper-spiced venison, cider-braised pheasant and pan-roasted quail, Top Chef: Texas-style. Brides will be channeling the Old West with a rustic-elegant spin à la Lauren Bush and David Lauren’s recent nuptials.
