a cute herd of cupcakes

I am discovering Pinterest this month. It is a website to categorize and share all of your favorite web bookmarks. I will let you know now, its addicting.

I found the cutest cupcakes today via Pinterest. They are from Martha Stewart (of course) and was entered in the "Cutest Cupcake of 2010" contest. They are little sheep! Looks like vanilla or chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing for the sheep skin. Then you would cut mini marshmallows into smaller pieces for the fluff. The faces could be made out of left over dough or fondant? Let me know if you anyone has a better idea! These are so adorable! I can't wait to try them out!

Kelsey's Bridal Shower

Mom and I threw my cousin Kelsey a bridal shower this past Saturday while I am home. I made the invitations out of cardstock and paper from PaperSource. I also made recipe cards for each of the guests to fill out. The little silverware set is embossed. I think they turned out pretty good!

We had a really good turnout for the shower. I think there was 42 people! Here's a small glimpse of how much fun we had. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the food table.

These zinnias are from grandma's garden!

Blue Cheese, Bacon, and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

YUM O!!

My friend Jennifer shared this recipe with me. It is absolutely delicious! I don't have a picture of the finished product but I can guarantee its worth trying. Probably not the healthiest dinner choice, but a girl has to live a little.

Prep Time: 15 min.
Cook Time: 20 min.

Ingredients:
2 boneless pork loin chops, butterflied
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
2 slices bacon - cooked and crumbled
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
garlic salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a shallow baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together the blue cheese, bacon and chives. Divide into halves, and pack each half into a loose ball. Place each one into a pocket of a butterflied pork chop, close, and secure with toothpicks. Season each chop with garlic salt and pepper. Keep in mind that the blue cheese will be salty. Place in the prepared baking dish.Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or it may take longer if your chops are thicker. Cook until the stuffing is hot, and chops are to your desired degree of doneness. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
